Avinashsingh Mooruth

Avinashsingh is an associate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA). He joined UHY & Co (previously UHY Heeralall) in 2011 and obtained his professional qualifications in 2013.

Avinashsingh has a wide range of experience in managing audits of entities operating in a variety of sectors, including, Asset and Wealth Management, professional practices, real estate & construction, media, technology & communication and automotive. Besides statutory audits, he has also been involved in special purpose audits, pension fund audits and independent examinations. Assignments managed by Avinashsingh include companies engaged in international operations with overseas parents, which include listed entities.

He has first-hand experience in financial reporting matters, including IFRS consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, group consolidation schedules and reporting packs and co-ordinating reporting from local subsidiaries and auditors of multi-national groups.

Avinashsingh is also well-versed in corporate tax matters and conducts regular internal training workshops on audit methodology and IFRS.

He has attended a number of CPD courses, including ongoing webinars jointly hosted by Emile Woolf and the UHY International network, covering a wide range of audit and financial reporting topics.
