Pravesh is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute ACII (UK) and a Chartered Insurer. He is also a member of the Faculty of Claims. As a partner of UHY & Co, he has overall responsibility for the insurance loss adjustment arm of the firm and works closely with all leading insurers in Mauritius.

Pravesh’s specialisms include Property losses, Business Interruption, Engineering losses, Liability claims, Fidelity Guarantee and Bankers Blanket cover. He has been involved in the supervision and management of loss adjustment assignments (including major and complex material catastrophes), on behalf of insurers and reinsurers, covering a wide range of business and other sectors. Pravesh has also worked closely with international loss adjusters on major claims and has been called upon to provide expert advice on litigation issues.

His expertise in insurance matters and his high level of professionalism, combined with traditional values such as courtesy, integrity and ethical standards, have earned Pravesh an impressive reputation with insurers, reinsurers and other stakeholders.

Prior to joining UHY & Co (previously UHY Heeralall), Pravesh held managerial positions with reputable insurance companies in the general insurance sector for over 16 years. Besides the handling and management of claims, he has participated in business and product development activities and IT projects in that sector.

Pravesh is a member of the education committee of the Insurance Institute of Mauritius (IIM) and a part-time tutor for students sitting for the CII (UK) exams. On his days off, his interests include tennis, golf, reading and cooking.
